  1. Ummmm, yeah, that's a big no for me. Something to work on, for sure!

  2. Tried this this afternoon. Ran toward my horse with arms outstrecthed and calling her name. I was able to go right up to her and give her a hug around the neck. I have another horse that is RBI that I know that I would not be able to this with. Such a nice day, except for the wind. We did some touch it and walked around the yard. Magic especially liked to stop for grass that was peaking up out of the snow.

  3. Tried this today. Oh boy, Fancy thought it was a new game and she LIKED this one. Of course, she didn't just stand there. She took off, along with the other horses, who all thought this game is going to be so fun!! Needless to say, I took Dolly in to ride. Fancy said no way, I like this new running game! After I got done riding Dolly and went back out for Fancy she still wanted to play "let's run" instead. Waited her out until I could walk up to her. Guess we flunked this one! But Amanda's horse, Legs, thought it was great fun and she ran up to me!!.. Right idea .. wrong horse. :-)

  4. Finally tried this with Cricket. Ran up to her and she stood stock still but raised her head in a little concern. So each time I ran to her I flopped against her and immediately started scratching her super-itchy belly spot. Didn't take long (2-3 repetitions) for to look at me as I ran towards her and to stand with relaxation. Pretty cool!

Don't think I would get quite the same response from Bleu - would probably send her into orbit. But then again, who knows! Will try it with her this weekend.

  5. Matrix knows I get crazy and loud and expressive sometimes so he's ok with this one!! Also he doesn't get unnerved when I trip and fall for no reason (as I do often) Yesterday I was working from zone one to do a sideways canter. He didn't quite get it but would do this sideways hopping/rear kind of thing! I just laughed and laughed (nothing to do with this can do list but I thought it was hillarious!) He was trying so hard!! 6. Tried this today and thought FOR SURE Pip would run off - but he didn't! His head went up and I thought he would go, but he took one step backwards and stopped. I tried it a second time and he just stood there (probably thinking that the crazy lady is at it again!).

I was pleasantly surprised that he allowed me to do this ... so YES, I CAN do this task :-)

  7. I did this - yay! Ok, I had to run in slo-mo, and had her already desensitzed by doing some dancing friendly game first (the result of playing to groovy music) but I did it!

  8. I can do this with Pip, but I remember when I couldn't!!!! I was so so so happy when Pip did allow me to run up to her, now the trick is to get her to run up to me!
