Now that's a little unfair to those of us in the south without knee-high snow banks! Okay, so maybe there's only one of us in the south but still . . . Guess I'll have to wait for a blizzard to try this one out.
I did think of you when I posted it, Lisa! You'll just have to improvise - do you have a ditch or bank or pallet you could back her onto? OR maybe you should come visit!
One of Cricket's biggest "yeah but" things is backing towards an object. She's super protective of her mouth and her butt. It took me ages to back her straight to a wall or barrel. I can work at backing her onto my low bridges and see how she does with that challenge.
I did play with Cricket backing onto the low bridges. Really, really hard for her. But she did it, two or three times before I felt she accepted rather than just tolerated my request.
I did both through and over lately. We are working up to backwards over a set of ground poles and a medium sized log. Eventually we'll do backwards into the trailer, which I have actually done once before, but it's very physically challenging for her as she's not yet strong enough in her back and abs to heft her front end up. Which is one of the reasons we're working on it!
