Cricket will accept any excuse to stand still. The only issue with velcro and zippers is that it *JUST MIGHT BE* me reaching for a cookie!
I have taken my coat off and put it back on, removed and adjusted my helmet and fixed all number of issues. She's good through it all - just that kind of horse.
This is sometimes an issue for us, so we're working it out on the ground and it's getting much better. Hanging a carwash made of feed bags has helped immensely. The other day I had her walk along as I tossed my coat on and off of her from Z2-Z4. She did great!
